I agree that this is most likely hermia and so I moved it, but it's a very late date for this species to still be on the wing. However, given how beat up it is, it's probably a late survivor at its last days. There are a few records of hermia in October and November so it's not unheard of.

I am no expert, and certainly never make a species ID without a hind wing view, but while you are waiting for an expert you might check out this one that caught my eye here.
