Operophtera #6 - Operophtera
La Grande, Union County, Oregon, USA
November 18, 2015
Size: FWs ~ 18-20 mm
This was about the largest Operophtera species moth I've encountered this autumn. Is this O. bruceata or O. danbyi? If bruceata, how can this species be so variable?

.
Dave, I am not from your area so this is not an ID, but I would think . Scroll through all the pictures and you can see they are quite variable. Your specimen seems to have the single dots referred to on the information pages as distinguishing markings and O. danbyi seems to have a stiched ST line if my eyes do not deceive me even on the BOLD specimens.
