Nabidae - Hoplistoscelis pallescens - female

Nabidae - Hoplistoscelis pallescens - Female
100 Acre Wood, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
September 13, 2015
Size: 6 mm
Looks like this:
While splitting firewood (with a powered splitter, not by hand!), I kept an eye out for insects (how could I not?). I wasn't sure why I collected this one as I've seen them about. But it turns out it's a nabid (to my surprise, OK, I've a lot to learn), there are none posted on BG from Iowa, and this may be an adult.

Please: How to tell adults from nymphs? Can this be determined to sex?
Thanks
