Size: Approx. 7/8 in. tall
Data posting for this species in Illinois, for the month of June.

I finally managed to get a shot of this Butterfly when the wind wasn't blowing 40 miles an hour. I'm sure it's the same specimen I've been seeing in the same place for the last week or so, but the last five days the wind has been blowing something fierce here in Southern Illinois. I almost had a shot of it two days ago, but a big gust blew up and it was "gone with the wind." Frankly, my dear....
