Holoparamecus

Holoparamecus
EL PASO, El Paso County, Texas, USA
November 27, 2015
Size: slightly <1 mm
This exceedingly tiny beetle (slightly less than 1 mm) was identified on BG (Blaine Mathison) as Holoparamecus. He asked for a more straight down shot. I am pretty sure this is the same species as my previous submission. This beetle was relatively abundant in a compost pile sample that I put in home-made Berlese funnel. This bug is so small that to the naked eye it almost looks like a thrips or Collembolan.

Moved, this series makes me more confident...a little ;-)
Moved from ID Request.

Thank you Blaine!
This beetle is the smallest that I have photographed so far. Not an easy task, unless is not moving... Thank you for your attention, help, and expertise.
