Ebony Jewelwings - ovipositor? - Calopteryx maculata - Male Female

Okay, less of a general ID request, since I strongly suspect that these are Ebony Jewelwings. What I wanted to ask, is whether if, in anyone's opinion, that's an ovipositor visible on the top (blue) one, or just something stuck to it?

Indeed they are Ebony Jewelwings. The one in the foreground with the white spots on the wings (pseudostigma) is a female, while the one in the background is a male. There's probably something stuck on him.
