Viceroy? - Limenitis arthemis

Viceroy? - Limenitis arthemis
Deep Fork Wildlife Refuge, Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, USA
June 10, 2007
Size: aprox. 40mm
Feeding on willow.
I believe that there is another caterpillar that looks much like this one.

I'm fairly sure this is a Red-spotted Purple,
even though I think Viceroy's are more often the ones on Willows. This doesn't look like a Viceroy caterpillar to me. There is a chance I'm wrong. Many of the Limenitis caterpillars on BugGuide must be regarded as only tentatively identified, because they weren't reared to adulthood, and they all look so very similar.

Yes, the Red Spotted Purple is very similar
Tony Thomas separated a bunch of these apart, so maybe you can tell which you have by examining his distinctions.

Thanks
I will check it out.
