Aphonopelma with lair web - Aphonopelma - Female
Garden Ridge/San Antonio, Comal County, Texas, USA
June 8, 2007
I submitted this Aphonopelma sp. to show her web lair.

Not hentzi
Nevermind.. I retract my statement. I was thrown off by the incorrect sexing. this is a mature male. The web to the left is a sperm web.

Moved
Moved from Spiders.

ID's are tentative with thes
ID's are tentative with these animals, however Aphonopelma hentzi is a possible candidate for this animal. The web it is near is a freshly used sperm web.

Thanks
Zach.
It looks to me like a hook is visible on leg I also.

John had this listed as a female. I'm not doubting you, but I just want to be sure before I update the image. Should John or I change the sex?
