This one has been bothering me,
I do believe I goofed. The narrow dark wing band bothered me from the start, but I let the eastern Minnesota location cloud my judgement.
A. conspersa
is found as far east as Wisconsin, and when I look at the front of the fastigium (in front of the eyes), it looks a bit on the wide side for [i}A. sulphurea[/i]. I think this is actually
A. conspersa
.
The two are closely related. It wouldn't even surprize me if they hybridize or intergrade in that region.
