Clay-colored Leaf Beetle - Anomoea laticlavia

Clay-colored Leaf Beetle - Anomoea laticlavia
Ozark Mountains, Searcy County, Arkansas, USA
June 10, 2007
Size: 6mm
On daisy fleabane leaf. And, yes, I always wash my beetle before photographing.
(Actually, we had a mid-afternoon thundershower that dumped and inch or so of rain. This beetle was the first insect I found after the skies began to clear.)

What do you think of
Anomoea laticlavia - Clay-colored Leaf Beetle in the guide here?

I think...
I think you've nailed this beetle, especially since most of the host plants are growing within fifty feet, including the source of it's other common name, Persimmon Leaf Beetle. Thanks, y'all.
