Giant Bark Aphid - Longistigma caryae

Size: < 1cm
Found in the pool after a rainy day. I think that leaves fly into the pool with bugs on them and thus I find them there. Temps have been cooler and was around 50F that day. Adding pictures as there are not many posted on bugguide and wanted to document in this location.

If you know what species an insect is, and you want to document its location, you can just post directly to that page. No need to submit to ID request. Obviously if you are not certain, then yes, submit to ID request for confirmation.
