Day-flying moth. Many male individuals showing lekking behavior on a variety of different shrubs and herbaceous leaves. The females are much less common and are usually seen on neighboring plants "watching".

Info Update?
The Info page says the head should be black. Is that and error?

Thanks for the comment. The Moths of Western North America by Powell and Opler, p 40, states that the orange scales on the head indicate a female in this species.
