Papilio machaon? - Papilio machaon

Papilio machaon? - Papilio machaon
Solomon, Seward Peninsula County, Alaska, USA
August 2, 2015
Size: 2-2.5 in.
Observed this caterpillar feeding on arctic sweet coltsfoot (Petasites frigidus) near the Solomon River, 40 miles from Nome, Alaska. When bothered, two fleshy bright orange antennae protruded.

Pretty sure it is Papilionidae, but not sure which species...

That's what it is
Moved from ID Request.

Old World Swallowtail
I am not as familiar with Alaska, but that far North with the larval color pattern I believe it has to be an Old World Swallowtail, Papilio machaon.
