Erythrodilax umbrata? - Erythrodiplax umbrata - male

Erythrodilax umbrata? - Erythrodiplax umbrata - Male
Naples , Collier County, Florida, USA
December 16, 2015
This skimmer looks similar to another dragonfly I submitted that was identified by a BugGuide.net contributor on February 17, 2015 as Erythrodilax umbrata, but the black patches on the wings are somewhat different from this one. Does variability in the shape of the dark bands occur within the species?
