ground beetle - Gastrellarius honestus
Mt. Washington, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
June 8, 2007
Size: ~6-8mm

Kip,
thanks for all the Carabid identifications!

Gastrellarius honestus
Probably Gastrellarius honestus. They are small, found under bark and have only a single supraorbital seta on each side.

Pterostichus sp.
Need a little more light to be able to tell the species. The 5 mm sounds a bit small.
