Need an id please, some kind of seed bug? - Leptoglossus phyllopus

Found in a marshy area of Sunset Bay at White Rock Lake, mid morning, mid September. I'm pretty sure it is not a "kissing bug" although I'm a bit worried I may run into those at some point while photographing bugs. Again, only got the one view before it took off. I am hoping the two little red dots on top of the head between the eyes will help identify it.

Leptoglossus phyllopus
"The straight white or pale yellow bar crossing the back is distinctive to this species" http://bugguide.net/node/view/437

Thank you
Good to know.

Leptoglossus phyllopus…
See reference here.

Thank you
I don't think it had the leaf part on the hind leg but I read on your page that it takes several molts before that develops so it may have been at a younger stage.

It's fully winged...
...and thus an adult. Perhaps you overlooked the tibial extensions, which are hidden in this view.

Good point
Plus it doesn't help that it was 3 months before I was able to process the photo. I was embarrassed that I tried to call it a seed bug when I would have realized what it was if I had seen the hind legs and I was being defensive. I appreciate y'alls patience in addressing my questions and comments. Please keep doing it. I do want to be accurate.
