Identification
This is a holding page for red-and-yellow Polistes from Texas and adjacent areas that cannot be identified with certainty at this point. These wasps resemble bellicosus but have yellow spots on tergum 2. They might be aberrant specimens of bellicosus or an unrecognized species.
