Unidentified Bug

Unidentified Bug
Sitka County, Alaska, USA
June 8, 2007
Size: <1cm
These were sunning themselves on the leaves of plants along the beach. To this point, I have learned enough to think they are bugs, but I don't know how to get any further at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

plant bug nymphs
(Miridae) - to know the plant species may help. Not much hope anyway to get an ID - monochromous Mirids exist a lot . . .
