Brian this is a Sphinx Moth of some kind. I am not from your area and have never seen this species, so I cannot make an ID, but this one looks like a possibility to me. . BG does not have any from Ohio, but MPG shows lots of dots over Ohio on its map. Are there any Catalpas near you?

I do not know of any specific trees in the area of this sighting, but good habitat for Catalpa exists nearby. Thanks!
