Although it's difficult
to distinguish mexicanus from frontalis, I'm fairly certain this is mexicanus. Both occur in Arizona and both breed in ponderosa pine, but mexicanus tends to be larger and darker, with a more rough and punctate frons. This specimen is 3.5mm based on your scale.
