Katydid with black stripes on hind legs - Scudderia furcata

Katydid with black stripes on hind legs - Scudderia furcata
Lake Corpus Christi, San Patricio County, Texas, USA
May 28, 2007

Moved
Moved from Katydids.

Probably Scudderia....
Probably a bush katydid, but if I had a side (lateral) view, I could tell you for certain. The male subgenital plate tells all. Update: given location, can 'only' be S. furcata, a species prone to those black rings on the legs, too.
