Gathering_2015. Found in mosquito-infested woods. I am pretty sure this is a carabid, but correction would be very welcome.

Might be a Staphylinid?
It's hard to tell, but the head looks more rove-ish, and it looks like there's only one claw on each leg. They can be hard to tell apart from photos.
