ssp. robertsoni
male

THANKS!
I wondered about this ssp. mentioned by Michener, but wasn't sure how to distinguish (oops - arcuate subantennal sutures seem to be visible here; & I read about the overhanging scutellum, which I saw in a female specimen taken from the site - I'll post a couple of photos later). Does robertsoni occur principally in the western states? I'll try scouring the surrounding plants for the resin cells.
