Size: 3+ inches
Several in the area. Nearby ponds and other swampy areas due to earlier beaver dams. One landed on my stomach and was very content and not skittish.

Please crop your images to a rectangle
that is essentially 'just the bug'. While you, as the contributor, can click on this image and see the full size 2800 pixel image you posted, the rest of us are restricted to this 560 pixel reduction which is only about 25% dragonfly.
