Found on Sago palm. If confirmed, these will be the first images submitted to BG from Texas where it became established since 2004. See: Cycad scale in Texas
This is the first time that I encounter this invasive pest here in El Paso.

I'm no expert, but the host--and the information, including photos, that I've found online--seems consistent with this species. Expert confirmation would be appreciated.

I sent specimens to David McCoy (Los Indios, Texas) and after he prepared slide mounts and examined them carefully, using a compound microscope, concluded that they were indeed Aulacaspis yasumatsui.
