Is this one of the Grays? I found it on the outside wall of a building beside a creek in a wooded area. I was surprised to see a moth in January!
I'd like an Id, please.

Brown-shaded Gray
A Brown-shaded Gray (Iridopsis defectaria), based on the large concave loop in PM, near inner margin, and the large "W" in ST, near the apex. It's a little worn to see the loops on HW, but other marks are consistent with 8586
