This species is remarkably shiny which is depicted in this picture. They look very different from other species of this genus in that regards to their small size, and the lack of a carina (point ridge) on the basal portion of the seventh elytral interval.

This specimen was collected by NEON using a pitfall trap containing a 1:1 ratio of water and propylene glycol.
