From a breeding population in a greenhouse. Hosts are brown soft scales (Coccus hesperidum) from a heavy infestation on blackberry plants (see thumbnail below).

Species identification verified by Jason Mottern at the Smithsonian (he writes: "I’ve compared your wasp against the original description of C. lycimnia (which is in Latin, and not really adequate), as well as subsequent drawings and photographs, and it matches in every visible character. [...] However, I think it’s a pretty safe bet you have C. lycimnia.")
