A Greek prefix from oura, a tail (Jardine), plus tergite.
Identification
urotergite noun - dorsal surface of an abdominal segment. (Apparently a combination of urite--an abdominal segment, and tergite--the dorsal surface of any segment.) Often important in the identification of hymenoptera.
