Wolf Spider - Tigrosa annexa

Wolf Spider - Tigrosa annexa
Williamson County, Tennessee, USA
June 16, 2007
Size: ~3cm
Even after cooling this spider down for about an hour... it had enough energy to sprint off in about 10 seconds!!!

The side-view shot was the best I could do with the time I had. I had no idea how MANY kinds of wolf spiders there are... Many spiders look similar to this, but I'm confident the ID is correct :)

ID
Hi, Matt. I know it's been years since you posted these, but I just stumbled upon them. I was wondering what was used to determine the ID on this one? Not contesting the ID necessarily, just wondering if there was a microscope exam done. This looks more like a species of Hogna to me, which is the only reason why I'm curious. Thanks!
