Muscina? - Muscina pascuorum - male

Muscina? - Muscina pascuorum - Male
North Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
October 24, 2014
Size: ~11mm
I haven’t got a lateral view so I can’t key this one out but, FWIW, it seems consistent with Muscina. M. stabulans can be ruled out by the color of the legs. Overall, this fly resembles the guide’s photos of M. pascuorum but I’d appreciate confirmation/correction of the ID because I don’t know which other species might be found in eastern North America.

Thanks in advance for the help
