Microon canadensis

This is Microon canadensis. It is Brentidae and belongs to one of the primitive weevil groups that has geniculate antennae, Nanophyinae.

The reason I leave these

in the ID request area for some time is that I like other bugguiders that may not regularily go to the individual areas see some of these specimens, and what level of clarity in photography can be expected or achieved. As stated in my biography. I do move my images when I see fit. Kind of odd that most of the time I get ID's quite quickly in the ID request area, but most of my specimens that have ended up being moved by someone else into a particular area have never again been touched. Please rest assured that I do move my stuff, and prefer to do so myself, unless there is some sort of Bugguide rule in reference to something otherwise...Then I certainly do apologize...

This one is about 25 images stacked on each of the views, through a lens that I built that allows me to use different microscope objectives for magnification..
