Genus is definitely good.
Genus is definitely good.

From Hartmut Wisch:

"A revision of nearctic Chrysotoxum by Jeff Skevington and Daniele Sommagio is still in the works. Jim Hogue and I have a number of specimens from a variety of locations that Jim will send to them for determination. Out of 23 Nearctic names there are 13 valid species and 2 new species (Skevington poster). I'd wait [to put them to species] 'til we have a reliable key that includes the beasties in our region."
