Texas SE Gulf Coast - Tetanolita floridana? - Tetanolita floridana - Male
Lake Jackson, Brazoria County, Texas, USA

Size: ~8mm forewing length
Best of bad photos.

Only questioning because the markings are so much stronger (especially the median band) than other photos. The pale blotches also seem a tad "aberrant"...

Have gone through all of MPG and can't find any other that might fit.

Thanks for confirmation/correction.

Moved to Tetanolita floridana
Moved from Litter Moths.

There is something funny going on here. There's a BIN group, BOLD:AAB7241, with specimens from west of the Rockies at BOLD more closer to palligera than to floridana and may even be that species. I think this is Tetanolita floridana but wouldn't be surprised if the ID got overturned. This does look like some of the western images in BG for palligera.
