Moved

definitely a Megachile female
one of the three introduced Megachile (Eutricharaea) species

I'm leaning towards M. concinna but am not sure

M. (Eutricharaea) are very well known to visit Cirsium

Megachile?
I quite sure this is a leaf-cutter bee because of the pollen brush on the underside of the abdomen. I think it might be in the genus Megachile but that's just a guess. If John Ascher comes across this he'll probably get it down to at least genus.
