Identification
Tough--variable. Distinctive when shows long thin streaks on forewings. Detailed description available in MONA Fascicle 22-2 at link in citations below. (1)
Range
Southern Quebec south to mountains of Georgia. West to upper midwest, Nebraska.
Habitat
Near deciduous forests and woodlands, presumably.
Season
June-September
Life Cycle
Larvae feed on several different deciduous trees (beech, hickories), but esp. oaks.
