Alucita montana? - Alucita

Alucita montana? - Alucita
Damascus, Clackamas County, Oregon, USA
February 6, 2016
Size: 1 cm
Hi, everyone

I'm guessing this is Alucita montana based on range. Can anybody confirm that that is indeed what it is? Also, does anybody know if there are any other genera of similar moths in the pacific northwest?

Thanks,
Phil

Montana
Such moths are being IDed pretty extensively on iNaturalist

montana or adriendenisi
Three species in North America:

A. montana flies in Oregon.
A. adriendenisi flies in B.C., so it might be in Oregon, too.
A. lalannei flies in Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario only.

A. montana has white along the leading (top) edge of the wing - not visible in your photo.

I'm just a few miles from Phil's submission
Here is a moth IDed as Montana but no white leading edge to the wings .
Here is one I photographed inside my house in Carver, a few miles from Damascus, . Appears very similar to Phil's submission.
Finally, here is a record of A. adriendenis from AZ, appears much paler.
Post-finally. Here are
3 more images
of A. montana, some showing white edge, others not.

Alucita sp.
Thanks for the identification help! Is the white along the wing usually very prominent?
