Something in Sticholotidinae
Microweisea misella, perhaps, if the proportions are as they seem. Doesn't seem slender enough for Gnathoweisea. What sort of size are we talking when we say "small"?
If you have any other angles, for instance seeing the beetle from the top down, that will help.

Thanks for the new pics
looks fine for Microweisea misella to me. The options for a small hairless Coccinellid with those large palps (=Sticholotidinae) are limited to Microweisea, Gnathoweisea, Coccidophilus and Delphastus in North America.
