Scolia dubia? - Scolia dubia

Scolia dubia? - Scolia dubia
Blackwater Heritage State Trail, Milton, Santa Rosa County, Florida, USA
October 16, 2015
Spotted on goldenrod next to the Blackwater Heritage State Trail, where it crosses Clear Creek. This area has been mowed in the past and has lots of wildflowers, grasses, and pitcher plants. Bees, butterflies, and grasshoppers were all abundant, as well as several different kinds of wasps, including this one. Might it be Scolia dubia? Any information will be greatly appreciated!
