Antennal markings. Clearly in the nigricornis group, and O. celerinictus seems the best match to me.

I think your guess makes sense.....
First, however, WOW. This guy sure survived a long time in the outdoors. Interestingly, a woman in Ohio kept a male O. fultoni living indoors until Feb 4th-5th this year as well. Generally, adults do not survive over winter in the U.S. - even in Florida where they have two generations of O. celerinictus. (I have found young nymphs of other Oecanthus species in Nicaragua in January - I suspect they might have three generations).

He has a lot of discoloring from VERY old age, but given the location and antennal markings - I would also guess this is O. celerinictus. Awesome that you found him!
