acacia psyllid - Acizzia uncatoides - male

acacia psyllid - Acizzia uncatoides - Male
Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California, USA
April 10, 2012
An older, not-very-good photo, but I realized that no other photos currently in the guide show the shape of the male genitalia, which allows this sp. to be easily seperated from A. acaciaebaileyanae. In A. uncatoides, the claspers are pyriform, while in A. acaciaebaileyanae they are straight and parallel-sided.

This was found, along with many others, on the stems of an unknown Acacia sp..
