Pheosidea elegans

Pheosidea elegans
Little Mantrap Lake (east shore), Hubbard County, Minnesota, USA
Final instar reared on trembling aspen from eggs obtained June 3, 1999 from light-captured female. In MN I have recorded adults many times from May 10 through August 13. But my single caterpillar encounter has been via reared eggs. Perhaps they are strict tree-top dwellers?

Something wrong with the dates
eggs in 1999 and caterpillar in 2009
