Was the identification made b
Was the identification made by examining the collected specimen? It seems Socalchemmis aren't identifiable to the species level without a physical specimen, or clear views of the palps for males.

Both are correct. Species cannot be reliably identified without genitalia, and I collected this specimen. :)
