Hello Robert this is a male (pectinate antennae) Fishfly looking to be in the Chauliodes genera of Megaloptera; wait for expert opinion

Spring Fishfly (Chauliodes rastricornis) - male
Thank you Hemipteran Seeker for your "expert" advice. I have been checking sources online at BugGuide and on the Web and agree with you based on our findings that the sample specimen we photographed at the Livingston Lake State Park in Livingston, Texas, is a Spring Fishfly (Chauliodes rastricornis), and yes, it's a male because of the pectinate antennae. We found it next to a white lightbulb attached to the outside wall of the restrooms at the state park's front entrance and of course its location was next to a large body of water and land that often is under water (wetlands) in the rainy season. All these are characteristics associated in the readings with this species per our online research. More than 40 inches of rain fall annually at the site according to a posted educational board at the park. Let's hope John and Jane Balaban or other contributing editors at BugGuide might take a closer look and otherwise verify our findings. Many thanks for your valuable advice on the ID. Best!

Most likely, from Texas data, to be Chauliodes rastricornis
