Atlantic Bluet - Enallagma doubledayi

Atlantic Bluet - Enallagma doubledayi
Henderson, Chester County, Tennessee, USA
October 10, 2008

Moved
Moved from Familiar Bluet.

Ken, although an Odonata novice
this looks like E. doubledayi to me since the cerci appear short, eyespots with bar, neck spot, and diagonal slashes at end of thorax stripe.

Based on range, E. doubledayi
Based on range, E. doubledayi is unlikely here in western Tennessee but I'll have my local expert take another look at it.

Ken, I agree on the designated range
but there has been reports in AR. and OK. in 2016 so I suspect that the range is greater than recognized.

I submitted it to Odonata Cen
I submitted it to Odonata Central and it's been confirmed as Enallagma doubledayi!

Ken, thanks for the followup with Ode Central
A first for TN
