Brown Caterpillar - Acronicta clarescens

Brown Caterpillar - Acronicta clarescens
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Sevier County, Tennessee, USA
September 3, 2006

Moved from Butterflies and Moths. We'll move it to clarescens as a best guess

Moved from ID Request.

Looks to be one of the Acronicta
Do you have a facial and/or dorsal image you can add?

Caterpillar - maybe Acronicta

Unfortunately, I don't have another shot of the caterpillar. The photo was taken in the Park in a low elevation valley, where wildflowers abound.
