Elm Leaf Beetle - Xanthogaleruca luteola

Elm Leaf Beetle - Xanthogaleruca luteola
El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, USA
February 27, 2016
Size: 8 mm
Floating in pool with missing left mid tarsus and pre-tarsus. Initially, I failed to recognize this Elm Leaf Beetle because it did not have its characteristic yellowish stripes on its elytra. Now its identity seems obvious, after consulting a specialist on Chrysomelidae who said: "this is an overwintered elm leaf beetle that has unusually dark elytra with obscured striping." Thanks in advance for your confirmation.
