Not good with western species, is my ID correct?

Tough call
This is a tough call. I see characteristics of both species. However, given your area of Texas, range info for the two would suggest Cyllopsis pertepida, although it's not a complete stretch to think C. gemma could make it over there. Seeing characteristics of both, I wonder if it's a possible hybrid?

Taking range info into consideration, I would lean towards your ID of C. pertepida being correct, but this one may be better left to genus unless an expert can weigh in. You can compare the two species here on the Nearctica site.

Gemmed Satyr
Are you sure it's not a Gemmed Satyr? It sure looks like one to me.

No I'm not sure
