Identification
Anabasis ochrodesma, the sole representative of this genus, has a wing length of 5.0-7.0mm and forewing am. band with a well developed ridge of pale scales. The combination of small size and the ridge of pale scales should eliminate similar species. In addition to genitalia, the base of the antennae has characteristics, visible under high magnification, which can be used to diagnose male Anabasis (1).
