Conocephalus gracillimus - male

Conocephalus gracillimus - Male
Tradewinds Park, Coconut Creek, Broward County, Florida, USA
March 6, 2016
Molted into an adult male the night before! Almost certain he is C. gracillimus, but I'll wait until I can get a good look at the cerci before I move there. I'll be waiting for him to sing as well!

Strange thing about this one - he can't jump. As a nymph, he always walked everywhere, and now he can only manage a tiny hop, nothing like the enormous leap I would expect from a meadow katydid. Not sure why, there is nothing visibly wrong with his one hind leg, and he is quite active and appears healthy. At least it makes him easier to photograph :)
